Exciting Updates on My Book Series and Publishing Journey

As I immerse myself deeper into writing, I experience growth as both a storyteller and a publisher. I am excited to bring you the latest updates about my book series, particularly my ongoing work on Rage of Harmony (Book 2) and the revisions for Seed (Book 1).

Join me as I discuss these changes, my switch to a new publishing platform, and what you can look forward to soon. Grab your favorite beverage, and let's dive into it!

Revising Seed for a Smoother Transition

While crafting Rage of Harmony, I recognized that the shift from Book 1 to Book 2 could be even smoother. I have embarked on revising Seed to enhance this transition. This is no ordinary editing job; it's about redefining the reading experience for my audience.

My focus lies on strengthening both visuals and dialogue throughout Seed. I want to immerse readers fully in this world. For instance, I am adding sensory details like sight, sound, and touch to scenes, enriching moments to make them feel real. Instead of simply stating "it was a stormy night," I now paint a picture with sentences like, "The wind howled, rattling the windows, while rain lashed against the roof like a thousand tiny drums." By enhancing such descriptions, I aim to capture readers’ imaginations.

The Progress So Far

I am currently halfway through the revisions. The positive impact of these changes is already evident. Revisiting my earlier work with a fresh mindset has opened new creative avenues.

For example, I experimented with different narrative styles in specific chapters, changing the point of view or incorporating flashbacks to deepen character backgrounds. One chapter in Seed originally felt stagnant but has now transformed into a dynamic exploration of the protagonist’s past, offering readers captivating insights. This creative cycle fuels inspiration for Rage of Harmony, igniting further ideas.

Transitioning to Direct2Digital

Alongside these revisions, I am making a significant shift in my publishing journey. I am excited to announce my move from Kindle Direct Publishing to Direct2Digital. This change reflects my desire to reach a larger audience and provide more options for enjoying my books.

With Direct2Digital, my books will soon be available on multiple platforms, including Kindle, Apple Books, Audible, and Apple Audiobooks. This means that regardless of whether you prefer reading eBooks or listening to audiobooks, my stories will be accessible to you. For example, if current trends indicate that audiobooks are growing in popularity—accounting for approximately 25% of all book sales in the U.S.—this move positions me better to tap into that market.

Local Libraries and Accessibility

One of the most thrilling aspects of this change is the potential for my books to be available in public libraries. I firmly believe that stories should be accessible to everyone, and this transition will help make that a reality.

Picture walking into your local library and discovering Seed or Rage of Harmony on the shelves! This dream is inching closer to reality. Data shows that library visits spiked during 2020, with many patrons turning to their local libraries for free access to literature. Providing my books in libraries means more readers can discover and enjoy them in community spaces.

Keeping You Updated

I recognize the importance of keeping you informed about these developments. I will share regular updates on my website and via my Facebook page, ensuring you are always in the loop with my writing journey.

Expect news about the revisions, the switch to Direct2Digital, and any upcoming releases. Your support plays a crucial role in my work, and I am eager to keep you engaged as I progress.

The Final Chapter in This Update

As I continue to refine Rage of Harmony and revise Seed, I am thankful for the chance to share my stories with you. These revisions are about more than just improving words on a page; they are about strengthening the connection between you and the rich world I’m creating.

With the transition to Direct2Digital, I look forward to reaching more readers than ever before and ensuring my books are accessible to all. Thank you for being on this journey with me. Keep an eye out for more updates soon!
